What's up?I hope errthing's been cool with you since we kicked it last time.As for me I've been working a lot and that's about it.Had a chance to catch my s.c.state bulldogs going to work on nsu...lawd.Last time I seen a whupping like that my little brother was in the 1st grade, and didn't know the meaning of certain words,so he said them in my mother's presence.Well...my friends in education call that a "teaching oppurtunity". My mother called it cursing in front of your momma.I called it the worst whupping I ever saw.But anyway ,on the serious...where is the love for our hbc's?Dick Price should have been at the very least 2/3 capacity sat. when scsu was in town.It was not.Dude next to me asked me where everyone was.I had no answer. So talk to me,what's up?
Oh, my main comment is unrelated to your question... well, let me answer your question first so as not to be rude.
...I have no clue where they were.
Ok, so I did see on ticketmaster.com info. about a Battle of the Bands on Friday night...but I heard no other publicity about it. I did not attend NSU (or an HBCU) so it's only by chance that I knew what was going on at NSU.
So I wrote the Battle of the Bands onto my schedule (although I already had something else to do). My schedule is so full, I know I did something, I just can't remember what it was. Oh, on Saturday I saw Branford Marsalis in Va. Beach. There! We were at Branford Marsalis. Whew!
Now, to my main comment: I called your radio station to get your email address to "Thank you" for some tickets I won to a Summer Reggae Splash concert in Portsmouth. (Someone gave me the wrong email address.) When I met you, you were so nice and personable (I guess you have to be in your job *lol*)...and it was really nice to meet you. I had a fantastic time at the concert. It rained but the night was warm, my VIP parking was excellent, and the vibe was perfect. So thanks so much!!
Hey brother, the reason attendance is low is because the universities are beginning to charge their supporters for every little thing. They are nickle and diming the one's that actually support them. New rules for tailgating and even getting on campus is what I'll be faced with next weekend and my own HBCU. I'll let you know how it turns out better yet, you should join me! Go Bulldogs!!
